In teh Name of God Amen I John Record of
Orange County & Province of North Carolina being in Perfect Mind
& Memory and Calling to mind the Uncertainty of our Lives & that it
is appointed for all men once to die & first I recommend my soul
In the Hands of Almighty God that gave it and as for what world=
=ly Goods it has been pleased God to bastow upon me I give & dispose
in the form and Manner following   ~~  ~~  ~~  ~~  ~~  ~~  ~~  ~~

Item I give and dispose unto my loving Son David Record one Negroe
Wench Name Nana & a Rifle Gunn to him & his heirs forever.

Item I give & dispose unto my Loving Daughter May
Record one Negroe Girl Named Sue & Two Sows & Piggs
and one Cow & Calf To her & heirs for Ever.

Item I give & Dispose unto my Loving Son John
Record one Negroe Girl Named Sue Two Sows & Piggs
& one Cow & Calf to him and his Heirs for ever ~~  ~~  ~~

Item I give & dispose unto my Loving son Sion Record
One Negro Boy Named Barrack Two Sows & Piggs &
One Cow & Calf to him & his Heirs for ever  ~~  ~~  ~~

Item I give & dispose unto my Loving Wife Cumfret[Comfort]
Record all the Rest of my Estate that I now process both
Real & Personal and also my Will & Desire is that my
Wife should Enjoy & process all the afore mentioned
Girts Enduring[sic] her Natural Life Time or widowhood
otherways[otherwise] upon her Death or Marriage that the afore
Mentioned Gifts should Remain and the Rest of my
Estate should be Equally divided amongs[t] my Children
My Wife Comfort Record & Joseph Brantly I desire
to Leave Executor of this my last Will & Testament
As Witness my hand & Seal this 26th Day of December
