James C. Roberts - 1867

I, James C Roberts of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina
being of Sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my
Earthly Existence do make and declare this my last Will and Testament
in manner & form following that is to say
That my Executor hereinafter named shall provide for my body a decent
burial & pay all funeral expenses together with all my just debts
however or whomsoever owing and of the moneys that my first come into
his hands as a part or parcel of my estate
First It is my will and desire that my beloved wife Ann Roberts have
all my property both personal and real estate together with all my
bonds and notes and cash on hand at the time of my death to be her
right and lawful property forever
Lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my wife Ann Roberts my
lawful Executrix to all intents and purposes to execute this my last
Will and Testament according to the true intent and meaning of the
Same and every part and clause thereof hereby revoking and declaring
utterly void all other wills & testaments by me heretofore made
     In witness whereof I the said James C Roberts set my hand seal
this 13th day of January 1867
