             Orange Cty NoCarolina

I Polly Roney of the County & state above written
    being of sound mind and memory but
considering the uncertainty of my earthly existance do
make & declare this my last will & testament in
manner & form following that is to say

First That my executor (herein after named)
shall provide for my body a deacent burial
suitable to the wishes of my relations & friends
and pay all funeral expences together with my
Just Debts howsoever & to whoomsoever oweing
out of the moneys that may first come into his
hands as a part or parcel of my estate

Item first I give & bequeath to my beloved Daughter
Maryann my cow & calf also 2 of the
first choice of my Hogs to be hers and at her Disposal
    absolutely forever

Item 2nd I give & bequeath to my only & beloved
grandson William R. Prater my Robin Horse to
be his and at his disposal absolutely forever

Item 3rd my will & desire is that all the ballance of
my estate shall be sold and the debts oweing to me
collected and if there should be any surplus over
and above the payment of debts & expences that
such surplus shall be equally Divided and paid
over to my two Daughters Catharine Prater &
Mary Ann McRay and every of them their
executors administrators and assigns forever

    And lastly I do hereby constitute & appoint my trusty
friend John Roney my lawfull executor to all
intents & purposes to execute this my last will &
testament ac[c]ording to the true intent and meaning
of the same and every part & clause thereof hereby
revokeing and declaring utterly void all other wills &
testaments by me heretofore made   In witness
whereof I the said Polly Roney Do hereunto set my

                Orange County Augst Term 1843
The execution of the foregoing last Will &
Testament of Polly Roney Decd was duly proved
in open Court by the oath of Henry Bason
one of the subscribing witnesses thereto
and ordered to be recorded
