In the name of God Amen, The last Will and Testement[sic] of
Arthur Stephens is as follow's first of all I bequeath my Soul to God
next my Body to the ground from whence it came, and my Lands & Movible
Astate as follows, to my eldest daughter Sarah I bequeath one feather
Bed and furniture one side saddle to my second Dafter Lavina I
bequeath one Feather Bed & Furniture with three pounds in Money
to Elisabeth my third & last Dafter I bequeath one Feather Bed
it is next my desier that my Lands should be sold to the highest
bidder giving one twelve Month Credit for one half and two years
for the other, my stock Horses Sheep Cattle Hoggs it is my desier they
should be sold to the highest bidder given one years credit
next my Household Goods to be sold at he same Credit and it
is my Desire that all moneys arrising from such sails shall be
equally divided amonkst my Six Children, that of the Land
excepted, which I desier should be equally divided between the
three Boy Children, it is next my desire that Joshua Johnston
Joel Johnston John McCone and Abraham Stephens they Executors
of the my Will maid in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred & seventy six, Mary ye 2        his
