Testator: John Thomas

In the name of God Amen I John Thomas
of the County of Orange State of North Carolina being
of Sound and perfect mind and memory
(blessed be God) do this Tenth day of April
in the year of our Load Eighteen Hundred
and Eighteen make and published this my
last will and Testament in manner following
that is to say

First after paying all my Just debts - I give
and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth
all the remainding[sic] part of my Estate ["which" x-out]
to enjoy and dispose of as she thinks best

And I hereby make and ordain my worthy
friend James Thomas Executor of this my
last will and testament In witness where
=of I the said John Thomas have to this my
last will and Testament set my hand and
seal the day and year above writtin[sic]

Signed, Sealed, published, declaerd[sic],
by the said John Thomas the testator
as his last will and Testament
In the presints[sic] of us who were
present at the time of
Signing and sealling there of

                        Orange County November Term 1818
The Execution of the foregoing last Will & Testament of John Thomas
was duly proved in open Court by the Oath of Alexander Morphis
a subscribing Witness thereto and ordered to be recorded. At the
same time James Thomas the Executor therein named was duly
qualified.
