Testator: John Tilley, Sr

Know all men that I, John Tilley Senr, of the County of
Orange State of North Carolina being of sound mind and
disposing memory do make publish and declare this to be
my last will and testament hereby revoking all other
wills heretofore made by me.

    I give to my wife Peggy during her natural life one
third part of the tract of land upon which I now
live, I also give to her, one tenth, or a child's part of all
my negroes goods chattels and effects.

    I give to my daughter Ann Tilley all the residue of
my estate which she does not already take by virtue of
a conveyance this day made to her by me.

    I also appoint Moses Leathers and John Neeley exec-
utors of this my last will and testament.

    Published and declared in presence of the undersigned

Exact date unclear, not included in will.  Folder was dated 1843

Estate papers comprise 16 pages and are found in a folder labeled "Tilly, John (1842)". Special letters of administration were granted to Michael Tickle 2 Oct 1848.  No family history found.
