Testator: Sarah Walker

In the name of God Amen I Sarah Walker
of the state of North Carolina Orange
County being of sound and perfect mind
and memory, blessed be God, do this the
Thirteenth day of March in the year of our
Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and
Forty Three make and publish this my last
Will and Testament in manner following
that is to say

First I give and bequeath to my son
Livi Walker my servant girl Mary
and hir child by the name of Nash

2nd I give and bequeath to my son Empson
Walker my servant man Stephen

3rd I give to my daughter, Harriet Crofford
my servant girl Rachel, the daughter of Mary

4th I direct and ordain that all the rest of
my property be sold and divided between
my daughter Nancy Shaw and my son
Truman Walker and further I direct
that the negroes which I have given to my
several children as above that is to say
to Levi Walker, Empson Walker and
Harriet Crofford be valued at my death
and that an equalisation be made among
all my heirs so that the portion assigned
to each of my children shall be equal in
value.  In witness whereof I have set my hand
and seal this day and year above written

And I hereby make and ordain my son
Levi Walker executor of this my last

as hir last Will and testament in the
presence of us

The execution of the foregoing last will &
Testament of Sarah Walker Decd was duly
proved in open Court by the Oath of Thos
Lynch one of the subscribing Witnesses
there to & ordered to be recorded
