All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ben Franklin ben.franklin.ffru@gmail.com May 2024 Source: Loose Will, NC Archives CR 073.801, Will Book Volume G, pages 189-190 Written: April 15, 1852 Recorded: Nov 1857 Testator: David Warren In the name of God Amen I David Warren of the County of Orange & State of North Carolina being weak in body but sound in mind & memory but ["this day" x-out] considering the uncertainty of my earthly existance do make & declare this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following that is to say First that my Executor (hereinafter named) Shall provide for my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my relations & friends & pay all funeral expences together with my Just debts howsoever & to whom =soever Owing out of the monies that may first come into his hands as a part or parcel of my estate Item 2nd I give & bequeath to my beloved Wife Polly Warren all of my estate both real & personal Just as I leave it ["Except" x-out] during her natural life time all & every part there of Except so much there of as will be sufficient to satisfy the Debts, &c as above named Item 3rd my will & desire is that after the death of my wife, that all of my estate be sold or a credit of twelve months by my Executor hereinafter named & when ["collected" x-out] the monies shall have been Collected to be divided among my ten Children as follows first that Betsey Ann Garret William Warren & David C. Warren have one hundred & eighty one dollars & twenty five cents each; and the remainder [page 2] of my estate to be equally divided among all my ten Children namely Thomas Warren, Chesley Page Warren Norwood Warren, William Warren David C. Warren, Nancy Guess, Polly Couch, Clarissa Horn, Cyntha Cole, & Betsey Ann Garret. And lastly I do hereby constitute & appoint my trusty friend William W.
