I Ludwick Waynick of the County [of] Orange and State of North Carolina Citizen, being very weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory Thanks be Given God and Calling into mind the mortality of The Body and Knowing That it is appointed for all men once To Die Do make and ordain This my last Will and Testament That is To Say Princip[al]ly and first of all I Give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that Give it and my body I Recom- mend To The Earth to be Buried in a Decent Christian Burial at The Discreation of my Executors nothing Doubting but at the General ~~~ Resurrection I shall Receive The same again by The mighty power of God and as Touching [such] worldly Estate where with it has Pleased God To Bless me in this life I Give Dismiss[sic] & Dispose of the same in The fol[l]owing manner and form 1st I Give & bequeath unto my Dearly beloved wife Margaret Waynick, whom I likewise make Constitute and ordain my Sole Executrix of This my last Will and Testament all and singular my Lands Messuages and Tenements by her freely To be possessed and Injoyed and To at her Disposall and Directions To manage it all at her Descression During her widowhood; but if thee afsd. Executrix should mar[r]y my w[h]ole Estate personal and Real To belong and Return to my Children and no more to be hers which [~~~~ X-out ~~~~~] if Continued single untill Death all the Estate personal and real is To be equally Divided between my Children and I Do hereby utterly Disallow Revoke [and] Disannul all and Every other former Testaments Wills legacies bequeaths and Executors by me in any will before named willed and bequeathed Ratifying & Confirming This and no other To be my Last Will and Testament In Witness wher[e]of I have hereunto set my hand and seal This 4 Day of December 1807 Signed sealed published and Declared By the sd. Ludwick Waynick or his Last his Will and Testament in The presence Ludwick (X) Waynick (seal) of us in his presence and in The presence mark of Each Other have hereunto subscribed our names ~~ Test Thos.
