I Thomas Weaver of the State of North Carolina Orange County. Being of sound and perfect mind and memory (blessed be God) Do this the 20th of September in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred & forty two Make & publish this my last will & testament in manner following that is to say. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Item first. I give & bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah Weaver All of my land & plantation whereon I now live during her life time. And the following negro slaves to wit: Charles, Lucy & Jordan, All of my house hold & kitchin furnature not herein after otherwise disposed of. All of my working tools my waggon & two horses & all of my stock of Cattle, hogs & sheep, & all of my Crop. All of which she is to hold during her life. At the death of my wife all the property named above not herein afterwards disposed of is to be sold & the money divided equally between all my children, Except one bed & furnature, one Cubboard, One Chest & table which I leave at her disposal. Item Second. I give & bequeath unto my Eldest daughter Winney C. Lloyd & her heirs forever. the following negro slave & her future increase to wit. Chaney. Item third. I give & bequeath unto my Eldest son William G. Weaver ten dollars. I have already given him a bill of sale for a negro slave named Henry. Item fourth I give & Devise to my son William G. Weaver & his heir forever, in trust for my second Son Isham S. Weaver the following negro slave to wit. Jordan at the death of my wife It is further my will & desire that the said negro slave devised & [page 2] bequeathed to my Son William G. Weaver in trust for my son Isham S. Weaver during his life shall at the death of my said son be equally divided between his two sons Samuel & George should they die without issue the said negro slave is to be divided between my Children, share & share alike. Item fifth. I give & bequeath unto my Son John H. Weaver & his heirs forever the following negro slave to wit: Joe Item Sixth. I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Mary C. Weaver & her heirs forever the following negro slave to wit Candis and her future increase One bed & furnature and fifty dollars to be paid at the death of my wife. Item Seventh. I give & bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth C. Weaver & her heirs forever the following negro slaves to wit Lucy at the death of my wife & Sarah, & Julia Ann with the future increase of them all. one bed & furnature, And fifty dollars to be paid at the death of my wife. Item Eighth. I give & bequeath unto my youngest son Thomas S. Weaver & his heirs forever. All the tract of Land on which I now live at the death of my wife. & the following negro slaves to wit: Charles at the death of my wife, & Dennis at my death. and one horse. & all my working tools at the death of my wife. & all of the crop should my said son be living with my wife at he death. and my clock. Item ninth. I hereby make & ordain my beloved sons William G. Weaver & John H. Weaver Executors of this my last will & testament.
