Orange County  }                    July 16 1887
  Be it remembered that a paper writing, purported to be the last will and 
testament of Patsy Whitaker in exhibited in open court by R W Tate and Wilson 
Brown the subscribing witness thereunto, and being proven by the oath and 
exoneration of the said subscribing witness hereunto, R W Tate & Wilson Brown
   I is adjudge that said paper writing is the last will and testament of the 
said Patsy Whitaker and as such is ------- to be recorded

  I Patsy Whitaker of the county of Orange and State of North Carolina being 
of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly 
existence do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and 
form following.
First  That my Executor hereafter named shall provide for my body and decent 
burial and also pay all of my just debts
  I give and devise to my daughter Rebecca Jane McAdams all my money which I 
inherited from my brother John Stevens estate.
  I give and bequeath to John McAdams and Lible [?] McAdams my two grandsons 
all that part and parcel of land known as the Stevens land.
  In testimony which of I set my hand and seal, the 2 day of July 1885

Wilson Brown is a possible nephew as her sister Rebecca Stevens m. George Brown
