Whitekar of Orange County & State of North Carolina being in Perfect & sound mind & memory thanks be given unto Almighty God for the Same and knowing that it is appointed unto all men Once to Die I do hereby constitute Ratifie and confirm this my last Will and Testament (that is to Say) I first of all recommend my soul and body unto the hands of Almighty God who first gave them to be Buried in a Christian like manner at the Discretion of my Executors hopeing that at the General Resurrection of the Dead to receive full Forgiveness of my Sins through Jesus Christ our Lord --- and I do hereby give and Bequeath of the same in the following manner & form Item I give and Bequeath unto my loving wife Martha Whitekar all and Singular my household goods & furniture with the Stock of Horses Cattle hogs & Sheep belong =ing thereunto Dureing her widowhood I also give unto my Beloved son William Whitekar one hundred & eighty Acres of Land Bounded on the East by John Redmonds Land on the North by Cardins & Jacob Allens Lands thence So= to John Caplas land I also give unto my Beloved Son Abram Whitekar all the Land in the fork of the Branches where he now lives run[n]ing up Burris Creek untill he comes to the Old line then run[n]ing with the Old line untill he comes to the corner then west along the line formerly John Poteets [page 2] To Thomas Redings land to hold the Same be the Number of Acres more or less I also give unto my Beloved son Jacob Whitikar all that Parcel of Land from John Redings line Bounded by my Old line to the Old Road that leads from my house to where John Poteet formerly lived now Belonging to Thomas Holliway and after my wifes Deceast or Widowhood to have have[sic] Twenty five Acres along John Redings line No= of my plantation I also give unto my youngest son James Whitaker after his mothers Deceast or Widowhood to have the land & plantation whereon I now liveth[sic] all the land within the above mentioned Bounds I also Desire after my wifes Marthas Deceast or Widowhood that all the Stock with the household goods & furniture be Equeally Devided among my sons & Daughters Isaac Whitekar William Whitekar Abram Whitekar Jacob Whitekar & James Whitekar & my Daughters Joana Holliway Hannah Barbee Elizabeth Riley with five pound already paid Mary Riley with Six pounds already paid I also Desire that my Youngest Son, James Should have a Horse Bridle & Sadle and Two years Schooling out of my Estate before Equeally devided I also desire that the Colt I have given to Joseph Proctor may Still remain his own property ~~~~~~~~ I also desire that my son Jacob & James Should have a feather bed & furniture I do appoint John Cabe & Henry Bunch as my sole Executors of this my last Will & Testament Revoking and Disannuling all other and former Wills and Testaments by me made ~~~ [page 3] As Witness I have hereunto Sett my hand and Affixted my Seal the day and year first above Written ~~~~~ Sign'd Seal'd and his Delivered in the presence off Abraham J[?] (X) Whitaker (seal) mark Henry Bunch his John (+) Morriss mark H.
