P. Cole) one negro Boy by the name of Washington which Boy shall yearly be hired out untill the death of said Sister Cole but if she should come to want the yearly proceeds shall be applied to her benefit and after her death said Negro to be sold and the proceeds equally divided among her heirs and also the moneys arising from the hire of said boy all to be equally divided between them ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ (Item 2nd) I also give unto the heirs of my Sister Susannah Craig wife of John Craig one Negro Boy named Guy to be hired out untill the death of Sister Craig, but if she should come to want the yearly proceeds shall be applied to her benefit and after her death said boy to be sold and the money arising therefrom with the hire of said boy to be equally divided among her heirs ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ Item 3rd ~~~ ~~~ I give unto my Brother Thomas White my interest in an undivided tract of land containing four hundred Acres to come in possession at the marriage or death of my Step Mother and further I give unto him my Household and kitchen furniture and also my farming utensils And Stock of all kinds [page 2] Item 4th And further it is my wish that the money which may be in hand at my (decd) and that which may come in hand to be equally divided between my Bro. Thomas and the heirs of my two Sisters afore named Itim 5) And further my interest in a boy now in possession of my step mother which at her death or marriage comes to the estate of my decd father, I likewise give to Thomas and the heirs of my two Sisters to be divided equally between them and to be disposed of as the other moneys heretofore named ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ (Item 6th) And further it is my wish that the two Boys (Viz) Guy and Wash to be hired out privately by my executors to those who will treat them well and not expose nor abuse them Item it is my wish that Milly Rhodes Shall have the benefit and use of the land on which she now lives during her life time and further I Appoint J. P. P. Cole the Executor therein name qualified as such Test Additional Comments: Will Book Volume F, pages 312-314 Recorded Nov 1846 Estate Papers comprise 11 pages and are found in a folder labeled "White, Joseph A (1847)" Inventory, taken by J. Pendleton Cole, May 1847, executor, lists "two negro boys Washington and Guy[? Gerry?]
