Carolina } Orange Country } In the Name of God Amen I Adam Whitsall of the County & State above Mentioned Being in perfect health Mind & Memory & Cal[l]ing to Mind that all Men has once to Die I Do Make this My Last Will & Testament hereby Revoking and disannuling all other wills by Me heretofore Made & do declare this My Last Will & Testament & first of all I wish My body to be deasently buried & touching My worldly affairs which it Hath pleasd God to bestow upon me I wish it to be disposed of in the following Manner & form to wit ~~~ As I have Heretofore advanced Given deeded or Conveyed or Caused to be done to each of my sons Ludwick disd. Adam Jacob Daniel John Henry & Christian one Tract of Land as Nearly Equal as I Could & also to Each of them one horse Saddle & Bridle one Cow & Calf plough & Gears also As Near Equal as I Could ~~~~ Then I also give & bequeath unto My Daughter Barbery Now Living with Me one Horse Saddle & Bridle two Cows & Calves one feather bead & furniture two Iron pots Six knives & forks Six plates one Dish & Bason one flax wheel & one Chest if those articles are not given during my Lifte time & they are to [be] given out of my Estate after wards So at to Make hir Eqwal to My other Daughters Now Mar[r]ied & Left Me to hir & hir heirs forever ~~~~~~~~~~ [page 2] I also give unto My Daughter Barbary My old Tract of Land on which I Now Live, & which I which I[sic] have not deeded to my any of my Children Containing two Hundred & fifty acres More or Less upon the following Conditions that if She Lives with during my Natural Life But if she does not & moves to another place during my Life it shall Beloong to my undisposed of Estate at My Death to be Equally divided among all my Children But if She Lives with Me So Long as I Live at My Death it Shall be to Hir & hir Heirs forever.~~~~~ Then) it is My Will out of the remainder of my Estate to give to Each of my daughters the Sum of three Hundred Dollars or its value Margaret has a Note in My possession of three Hundred Dallars or probably more Interest & principal But She is to have said note at three Hundred Dollars Let it amount to what it will at My Death, over the Sum, Caty has Received one Negro girl Named Lid which I Charge hir two Hundred Dallars for Mary one boy Named Tone at three Hundred Dallars. Turly one boy named Albert at two Hundred Dallars. Elizabeth has Received Nothing (only Such as is before Mentioned ) as Barbary is to have My plantation at my Death if She Stays with Me I Do not will hir any of the three Hundred Dallars willed to the others if She Leaves Me before My Death She forfeits the Land & then in that Case She is to have the three Hundred Dollors Mentioned above with the Rest of my Daughters [page 3] I Nominate & appoint My two Sons John & Christian Whitsal[l] My Exetors. to this My Last Will & Testament in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred & Eighteen this 3 Day of Jenuary his In Presents of Adam (W) Whitsall (seal) W.
