I James Whitted of the town of Hillsborough being weak in body but of sound mind blessed be God therefore; do my make and publish this as my last will and testament ___ I give unto my beloved wife Attellia Whitted my negro man Virgil. Secondly, my will and desire is that all the residue of my property of every kind and description be sold by my executor hereinafter named and the proceeds to be equally divided between my said wife Attellia, my son Nash Whitted and the child with which she is now pregnant___ I constitute my friends James Webb and F.
