Additional Comments: Will Book Volume D, page 505 Recorded May 1817 Estate Papers comprise 238 pages and are found in a folder labeled "Whitted, James (1817)" Children of testator: Mary Tarmesia and William Nash Whitted Testator, Joseph Dickey and Chesley F. Faucett formed a co-partnership to carry on trade in merchandisers called Joseph Dickey & Company in November 1815. This partnership continued until the testator died in Mar 1817. One location of the business was Bruce's Crossroads in Guilford County, North Carolina. The other half of the concern was run directly by Chesley F. Faucett in his house in Orange County. It was also located at Wayneck's Crossroads. The widow appears to have felt cheated and pursued justice in the courts. This produced a great deal of documentation, petitions, complaints, answers, etc, hence the number of pages in this packet of Estate Papers.
