In the name of God Amen, I Mary Wilbourn of the county of
Orange & State of North Carolina being in perfect
Mind & Memory thanks be to God for his Mercy but
calling unto Mind the mortality of my body & know
-ing that it is appointed for all woman to die, do make
& ordain this my last will & testament principally &
first of all I give & consign my soul into the hands of
Almighty God that gave it & as touching such worldly
Estate Wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in
this life, I give & dispose of the same in the following
manner & form, first I give & bequeath to my Son
Nolen Hampton One Dollar the balance of my
property to be sold & equally divided between my
son John Hampton & Noah Hampton son of the
above named Nolen Hampton I appoint make &
ordain my true trusty friends John Hampton &
Allen Waller executors to this my last will & testam
-ent certifying this to be my last will & testament
disannuling all other will or wills made by me here
-tofore in witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand & seal in presence of. this the Second day
of October Eighteen Hundred & thirty eight

                         Orange County August Term 1840
The Execution of the foregoing last Will and Testament of
Mary Wilbourn deced. was duly proved in Open Court by the
Oaths of Wm J Roberts & G Hopkins the subscribing witnesses
thereto and ordered to be recorded At the same time Allen
Waller one of the Executors therein named appeared and
qualified Accordingly
