All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ben Franklin ben.franklin.ffru@gmail.com May 2024 Source: Loose Will, NC Archives CR 073.801, Will Book Volume F, pages 427-428 Written: September 24, 1847 Recorded: Feb 1849 Testator: Hetty Williams I Hetty Williams of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina being of Sound mind and memory but Considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence do make and publish this my last Will and testament in manner and form following that is to Say First that my Executor shall provide for my body a decent burial, suitable to the wishes of my relations and friends, and pay all funeral expences, together with my Just debts out of the moneys that may first come into his hands as a part or parcel of my estate Second I give and bequeath to my niece Rachael Thompson and wife of Richard Thompson Twenty five Dollars to her and her heir forever Third my will and desire is, after paying the above legacy and all other expences, that the remainder of my estate both real & personal, be divided[?] equally betwixt Jane[James?] Williams Martha Williams Ann William Williams[sic] B Williams & Richard Williams (Children of my Brother James Williams) to them and their heirs for ever It is my further wish and desire tha[t] the above named Children of my Brother James, shall select some suitable person as Executor to this my last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same and every part and clause thereof In witness whereof I the said Hetty Williams do hereunto set my hand and seal, this 24th day of Septem ber 1847 Signed sealed published and declaired in the presence of us who at her request and in her presence do subscribe our names as witnesses thereto test her H.
