All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ben Franklin ben.franklin.ffru@gmail.com May 2024 Source: Loose Will, NC Archives CR 073.801, Will Book Volume D, pages 586-587 Written: August 27, 1820 Recorded: Nov 1820 Testator: Ann Wilson In the name of God Amen I Ann Wilson former of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina being low in health but in sound mind And memory thanks be given, un to God, Calling unto mind the mortality of my body and Knowing that it is Appointed for All men once to die do make and ordain this, my last will and testament that is to say princip ally and first of All I give and recommend, my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I Recommend to the Earth to, be buried in Christian burial At the descression of my Executor nothing doubting but At the general Resurrection I shall receive the same, Again by the might pour[power] of God and As touching Such Wourldly Estate Wherewith he has blest me in this life I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner And form, first I give and bequeath to my Son John Wilson twenty dollars, Also I give and bequeath to my grandaughter Polly that lives with me hir Chois of puter[pewter] plates six in number two puter dishes And one large bason Also I give and bequeath to my grandaughter Betsy that liv[e]s with me one bed and furnature & two puter dishes & six puter plates and one heifer Called, Brindle [page 2] Also to my grandson Robert Wilkinson one Cow Also I give to my son Thomas Wilson one dollar Also I give to my sone Calib one dollar, Also, I give to my son in law John Wilkinson five shillin gs, Also I give to my sone James Wilson, ten dollars Also I Give to my daughter Elizabeth Wilson my stand of drars[drawers] and two beds and furnature and one Cow and All the puter not before named and After my debts is paid and my property before named is devided, I Allow the ballance of All my property to my daughter Eliza beth Wilson Also I Constitute make and ordain Thomas Wilson Senr and Elizabeth Wilson the soul Executors of this my last Will and testament and, I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul All and Every other former testament wills legacies bequests and Executors by me in any wise before named willed and bequeathed ratifying and Confirming this and, no other to be my last Will and testament in witness whereoff I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of August in the yeare of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Ann Wilson as hir last will and testament in the preasance of us in hirs and in the preasance of Each other have hereunto subscribed our nanes[sic] ~~~~ Witnesses Joseph Latta Jurat hir Caleb Wilson Ann (X) Wilson (seal) mark [Will Book Volume D, page 586] In the name of God Amen I Ann Wilson former of the County of Orange & State of North Carolina being low in health but in sound mind & memory thanks be given unto God calling unto mind the mortality of my body & Knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make & ordain this, my last Will & testament that is to say prin= cipally & first of all I give & recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in Christian burial at the Discretion of my Executor nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the might power of God & as touching such worldly Estate wherewith he has blessed me in this life, I give demise & dispose of the same in the following manner & form [Will Book Volume D, page 587] First I give & bequeath to my son John Wilson twenty dollars - Also I give & bequeath to my grand-daughter Polly that lives with me her choice of pewter plates six in number two pewter dishes & one large basin - Also I give & bequeath to my grand daughter Betsey that lives with me one bed & furniture & two pewter dishes & six pewter plates & one heifer called Brind[l]e -- Also to my grand son Robert Wilkinson one cow -- Also I give to my son Thomas Wilson one dollar Also I give to my son Caleb one dollars[sic] Also I give to my son-in- law John Wilkinson five shillings -- Also I give to my son James Wilson ten Dollars ~~ Also I give to my daughter Elizabeth Wilson my stand of Drawers & two beds & furniture & one Cow & all the pewter not before named & after my debts is paid & my property before named is divided I Allow the balance of all my property to my daughter Elizabeth Wilson.
