All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ben Franklin ben.franklin.ffru@gmail.com May 2024 Source: Loose Will, NC Archives CR 073.801, Will Book Volume G, pages 172-174 Written: August 30, 1856 Recorded: May 1857 Testator: Hugh Wilson I Hugh Wilson of the County of Orange being of sound mind & memory but feable in health & calling to mind the un- certainty of human life do make publish & declare my last will & testament in man- -ner & form as follows My will & desire is that all my just debts & funeral expences he paid & that all my property & estate of Every Kind & debts due me belong to my beloved wife Polly during her natural life, at the death of my wife to my daughters Min[???] & Emily I devise & give the house in which I live by which I mean all my land not otherwise given away and the home tract of land ["of land" x-out] except so much thereof as I give to my son Addison my daughter Minece[?] to have the dwelling house should my daughter Emily marry, to my daughter Min[???] I give & bequeath a negro boy by the name of Nathen [page 2] one called Essex[Cyrus?] & one named Younger, To Emily I bequeath a girl by the name of Anne & a boy called Wily At the death of my wife I give & bequeath a boy called Frank to my son Addison To my grandson Henry son of Addison Wilson I give a boy named Gerry I bequeath to Addison fifty acres of land in the Rail Road lying between the Stredwick & Pollock lines & goining[?] a parcel of land given by me to my son Hugh said land is to be run off to my son Addison & he is to have immediate possession thereof All the residue of my per- sonal property I give & bequeath at the death of my wife to be equally divided between my two daughters Minece[?] & Emily - To My daughters Minece[?] I give and devise the old place Goining George Tate & others containing about fifty acres more or less & also a negro man named Daniel said land to be rented out annually or leased for a term of years & said boy Daniel to be hired out ["& the" x-out] if my daughter thinks proper [page 3] to do so - & the hire of said boy & the rent of said land my daughter if she chooses may apply to the support of my son Hugh & should the said Hugh Marry & have lawful children my will & desire is that my said daughter convey to ["them" x-out] such lawful child or children of the said Hugh the said land & negro. Note the gap of time between probate and the papers. This is the inventory, signed "Menece Wilson". No family history found.
