All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ben Franklin ben.franklin.ffru@gmail.com May 2024 Source: Loose Will, NC Archives CR 073.801, Will Book Volume G, pages 414-415 Written: June 6, 1856 Recorded: Nov 1863 Testator: Mary Wilson In the name of God Amen, I Mary Willson Snr of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory, but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existance, do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following; that is to say 1st I give to my Brother Edward Willson and his heirs one dollar 2nd I give to my sister Rachel Jones and her heirs one dollar 3rd I give to my Brother Hugh Willson and his heirs one dollar 4th I give to my friend Nancy Brown, (daughter of George W Brown) One Bed and furniture, and one stand of striped curtains, 5th I give to my niece Elizabeth Willson, (daughter of my Brother William Willson) all the plantation whereon I now live to her and her heirs for ever, I also give to my said niece Elizabeth Willson my negro man Able. It is my will and desire that if Able cant[sic] live agreeable with my said niece Elizabeth, that he be allowed to chose him a master, and be Valued by two disinterested men and the amount be paid over to my said niece Elizabeth Willson, I also give to my said niece Elizabeth Willson two chest[s], two Tables, One clock, one Book Case, One Bed and furniture, one stand of White curtains also all he ballance of my House hold furniture, also all my Kitchen furniture, also one Loom, also all my stock of Horses, and Waggon, all my farming tools; I also give to my said niece Elizabeth Willson my old negro Woman Hannah and enjoin it upon her to take good care of her during her live[sic], and see that she is decently burried; I also give to my said niece Elizabeth Willson all the surplus of proper[ty] and money that may remain on hand after all my just debts is paid, Lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my said niece [page 2] Elizabeth Willson my lawfull Executrix to all intents and purposes to this my last will and Testament, according to the true intent and meaning of the same, and every part and clause thereof, hereby revoking and declaring utterly void all other wills and Testament by me heretofore made; In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 6th day of June 1856 in the presence of us Stephen A.
