All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ben Franklin ben.franklin.ffru@gmail.com May 2024 Source: Loose Will, NC Archives CR 073.801, Will Book Volume D, pages 324-325 Written: December 20, 1811 Recorded: Feb 1812 Testator: Mathias Wilson In the name of God Amen, I Mathaes Wilson of the county of Orange and State of North Carolina being weak of body but of perfect and sound mind and memory blessed be God for it, and calling to mind the Mortallity of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die, I therefore Make and ordain this my last Will and Testament (To wit) I first and principally give and recommend My soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it, and My body I recommend to the earth to be ["bur" x-out] buried in a decent and Christian Manner at the direction of My Executors whom I shall hereafter appoint, nothing doubting but at the General resur[r]ection I shall receive the same again, by the Myghty power of God, and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give demise and despose of in the following Manner (to wit) I give and bequeath to My loving Sister Rachel, the plantation I now live on together with all the farming tools of every kind, and all my household and kitchen furniture, all my Stock of horses and hoggs and all My stock of Cattle except those that shall hereafter be otherwise disposed of, and also all Notes and Book accounts. ~~ Item I Give and bequeath to my friend George Brown all my tools which belongs to the Waggon Making business, a Cow and yearlen, and four barrels of flour, and forty Dollers in Money to be paid out of the price of my Waggon when sold (turn over) [page 2] and all the pine plank that I have on hand that was saw'd for the use of Waggon beds It is also my will and Desire that my Executors sell my Waggon, and flour and all the pine plank which I have on hand that is not otherwise disposed of to pay My Just debts, and the ballance if any to go to my sister Rachel. ~~ Item) I give and bequeath to William Wilson son of My Brother Edward Wilson twenty Dollers to be put to the use of s[c]hooling of him And it is also my Will and desire that My brother William Wilson and My Sister Rachel Wilson shall be sole Executors to this my last Will and Testament.
