All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ben Franklin ben.franklin.ffru@gmail.com May 2024 Source: Loose Will, NC Archives CR 073.801, Will Book Volume A, pages 229-230 Written: November 24, 1780 Recorded: Aug 1781 Testator: William Wilson In the Name of God Amen I William Willson being sick and Very Weak in body but in perfect Mind and Memary thanks be given to God and Calling to mind the Mortality of my Body and Knowing that it is ap[p]ointed to all men once to Die Do Make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and Recom[m]end my Soul to God who gave it and my Body I Recom[m]end unto the Earth to be buried in a Decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Executors Nothing Dou[b]ting but at the general Resurrection I shall Receive it again by the Mighty Power of God ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ And as touching what worldly Estate Wherewith it hath Pleased God to bless me in this life I give and Demise and Dispose of in the following man[n]er and form And first I Desire that my funeral Charges with all my Just Debts be legally and Lawfully Paid and after such Dew Debts be Discharged I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Mary my hogs and Cattol with all my horses Excepting Snip / with one half of my household furniture Likewise I Leave and bequeath to my son Samuel my plow tacklings and saddle with one half of my Land Likewise I leave and bequeath to my son Greggory the other half of my Land Likewise I leave and bequeath to my Daughter Mary horse Snip with the other half of my household furniture Likewise I leave and bequeath to my Loving Wife Mary the Benefits arising from my plantation During her Widowhood if She Does Support my Children Likewise I Desire my trusty friends Richard Holeman and Thomas Rountree to be my Sole Executors and trustees to Manage and Dispose of my Estate according as this my Will is and I Do hereby utterly Disalow Revoke and Disanull all and every other former Testaments Wills and legacies bequeaths and Executors by me mad[e] before Named Willed or bequeathed Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Wittness Whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and seal this 24 Day of November 1780 Orange County North Carolina Sign'd Seal'd and acknowledged in the presence of William Wilson (seal) John Wilson } James Wilson } Jurat Rd Holeman Exr Qualifd. her Susana (+) Farmer mark Aug 1781 Copy & Letters issd.
