Written: November 1807

In the Name of God Amen I Sabert Wood
Of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina being very sick
And weak in body but of perfect mind and memory, thank be to God
Therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my Body & knowing
That it appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this
My last Will and Testament that is to say principally on ______
Of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hand of God that 
gave and for my I Recommend it to the Earth to be Buried 
in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executor
and keeping the general resurrection I shall receive again by
the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly matters
wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I
give devise & dispose of the same in the following manner and form
Item it is my will and I do order that in the first place all
My just debts and funeral charges be paid & satisfied
Item I give and bequeath one Negroe girl by the name of Hanrey
Sabret Wood son of my son Levin Wood   Item  I give
And bequeath one Negroe girl by the name of Darkey to my
Granddaughter Mary Wood Daughter of Levin Wood
Item  I give and bequeath one Negroe boy by the name of
Dick to my grandson Hardy Wood son of Levin Wood
Item  It is my will and desire that my Negroe woman by
The name of Sarah shall be set free and be kept under the
Care & discretion of my Executor  Item  I give and
Bequeath one Negroe boy by the name of Ned to my Daughter
In law Elizabeth Wood wife of my Son Levin Wood
Item  I give & bequeath unto my daughter Lizzia Wood the 
Sum of five shillings  Item  I give & bequeath unto
My Son Isaac the sum of five shillings
Item  I give and bequeath unto my Son Levin Wood all
My other property of every kind.  I constitute &
Appoint ordain my Son Levin Wood my only & whole &
Sole Executor of this my Last Will & Testament and I do
Duly revoke & dis______ all and every other will by me
Made in witness whereof I have set my Hand & Seal this
