I Anna Wood of the County of Orange & state of North Carolina being of Sound and perfect Mind and Memory. blessed be God this ["day" erased] 5th day of April in the year of our Lord one thou- sand eight Hundred and Seventeen make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say, First I Request all my Just debts to be paid and for that purpose do give my Executors herein after named full and ample powers to Sell so much and such part of my personal Estate and in such manner as they may believe most Ecpedient to Enable them to discharge my Said debts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Secondly I give and Bequeath to my daughter Nancy Robinson a striped Habbet and Black Cotton Handkerchief ~~~~~~~~~~ Thirdly I give and Bequeath to my daughter Jane Wilson one bed bedstead and furniture and two Cupboards one Silver table spoon and one half of my kitchen furniture ~~~~~~~~ Fourthly I give and bequeath to my daughter Rebecca Thompson one silver table spoon on decanter one Cabinet Fifthly I give and bequeath to my two daughters Jane Wilson and Rebecca Thompson my Negro woman Jude to be Equally divided between them Sixthly I give and bequeath to my Niece Sally Wood one Bed Bedstead and furniture Seventhly I give and bequeath to my Niece Ann Wilson three chairs [page 2] Eighthly I give and bequeath to my son inlaws Thomas Wilson and Samuel Thompson my part of the money arising for the Estate of my Husband John Wood Decd. to be equally divided between them the Crop Now growing to be equally divided between them also. Lastly I do Hereby nominate and appoint Thomas Wilson and Samuel Thompson Both of the County of Orange Ececutors to this my last will and testament I[n] witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and seal the day and year first above written Anne Wood (seal) Signed sealed published and delivered by the said Anna Wood the testator as her last will & testament in the presence of us who was present at the signing and Sealing thereof Richard Holeman } Charles Holeman } Jurat Exrs. qualified [Will Book Volume D, page 521] In the name of God Amen.
