Latta and her heirs one Hundred acres of Land adjoining Land of John Pool & Henry Forrist and I give and bequeath to my son Willie Wood the rest of my Land and plantation with all that appertain there to and to his heirs and I give the Negro girl Till also and he is to pay half the value of the said Negro girl to the rest of the Legateese and I give and bequeath the rest of my property to my three others[sic] Daughters viz Nancy Lewis wife of Fealing Lewis Salley Wallace wife of Orran Wallace and Polley Chisenhall wife of Delaney Chisenhall and to ther heirs to be equel devided if [it] can be so dun with out selling the few Negros that I have for it is my wish for them to be in the Family and if the Hundred acres of Land that I heave given to Betsey Latta wife of John J Latta is not Equel to the others[sic] girls parts It must be maid Equel so and I hereby nominate and appoint my son Willie Wood and John J Latta Executors to this my last will and testament and I hereby Revoke and disannul all and every other will by me heretofore by me[sic] maid and I hereby publish and declare this to be my Last will and testament in witness whereof I heave here unto set my hand [and] affexed my seal this 25 of August 1819 signed sealed and Declared to be the last will and Testament James Wood (seal) of the testator in the presents off Frederic Moize Jurat his Marstain (+) Crutchen mark Exrs. qld. Latta Executors to this my last will & testament and I hereby revoke and disannul all & every other will by me here =tofore by me[sic] made & I hereby publish and declare this to be my Last Will & testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand [and] affixed my seal this 25th of August 1819 Signed, Sealed & declared to be the last Will & testament James Wood (seal) of the Testator in the presence of Frederic Moize Jurat his Marstain (X) Crotckett mark Orange County November Term 1819 The Execution of the foregoing last Will & testament of James Wood was duly proved in open Court by the oath of Frederic Moize a subscribing Witness thereto & ordered to be recorded At the same time the Executors therein named qualified accordingly Test Additional Comments: Will Book Volume D, pages 564-565 Recorded Nov 1819 The loose will is now is two physical parts, torn along a fold in the middle, across the will, but it doesn't happen to obscure the text. Estate Papers comprise 19 pages and are found in a folder labeled "Wood, James (1819)" 28 Oct 1819: "1/2 Valuation of Negro Till $62.50" Names of legatees, written clearly in the estate papers: Willie H Wood John J.
