In the name of God I Sabret Wood of The County of Orange and State of North Carolina being very sick and Weak in body but of perfect Mind and memory thanks be to god therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my body and Knowing that it [is] appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and testament that is to Say principally and first of all I give and Recommend my Soul into the hand of God that gave it And for my body I Recommend it to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian like manner at the Discretion of my Executor and hoping at the General Resurrection I shall Receive again by the mighty power of God And as touching Such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give Devise and dispose of the Same in the following manner and form ===== Item it is my will and I do Order that in the first place all my Just debts and funeral Charges be paid and satisfied (1) Turn over [page 2] Item I give and bequeath one Negro Girl by the name of Henny to my Grand Son Sabret Wood son of ["Levin" x-out] my son Levin Wood ===== Item I give and bequeath one Negro Girl by the name of Darkey to my Grand daughter Mary Wood daughter of Levin Wood ===== Item I give and bequeath one Negro boy by the name of Dick to my Grand son Hardy[Handy?] Wood son of Levin Wood ===== Item It is my will and desire that my Negro Woman by the name of Sarah shall be set free and be Kept under the Care and direction of my Executor ===== Item I give and bequeath one Negro boy by the name of Ned to my daughterinlaw Elizabeth Wood wife of my Son Levin Wood ===== Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter Kezzia Wood the Sum of five Shillings ===== Item I give & bequeath unto my Son Isaac the sum of five shillings [page 3] Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Levin Wood all my Other property of Every kind. -- I do Constitute and Ordain my Son Levin Wood my only Whole and Sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament and I do hereby Revoke and disannul all and Every Other will by me made in Witness whereof I have set my hand and Seal this Eleventh day of November 1807 Signed sealed and declare in presence of Sabret Wood (seal) book version of this will leaves out a number of words from the original, noted in square brackets. No estate papers found. There is a folder labeled "Wood, Saybert", but it does not appear to be related to this estate.
