In the name of God Amen I Sarah Yeargan
(widow) of the county of Orange & State of No.~~~
Carolina being weak in body but sound in mind
& memory do this 24 ["August" x-out] day of August
1823 make & publish this my last Will and
Testament in the following manner (that is to
Say)

Item 1st I give and bequeath unto my beloved son
Mann Patterson one Hundred and fifty dollars

Item 2cd I give & bequeath unto Milley Patterson Daughter
of Mann Patterson my mare saddle & bridle

Item 3th[sic] I give & bequeath unto my beloved son ~~~
Bartlet Yeargan my bed & furniture

Item 4 I leave my chest & Cloths in the hands of
my son Mann Patterson to be devided between my
two Daughter Charlotte Nunn & Harriot Forsythe
provided they come for them within twelve months
after my death if not to be divided between the
four eldest Daughter of Mann Patterson

I make and ordain my worthy friend & son my Mann
Patterson exe'r of this my last will and will[sic] and
testament

Sign'd seal'd bublished[sic] and declared ["to" x-out] by the said ~~~
Sarah Yeargan widow to be her last Will and testament
in presence of us who were present at the time of her
signing & sealing the same the day & date above written

The Execution of the foregoing last Will & testament of Sarah Year=
=gan was duly proved in open Court by the oath of Burroughs Cheek
a subscribing Witness thereto & ordered to be recorded ~ At the
same time Mann Patterson qualified as executor according
