Miller, Clerk of Superior Court This indenture made this seventh day of September A.D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy nine between Benjamin Allen of the County of Pamlico and state of North Carolina of the one part and Lois Allen of the state and county afore said wife of the said Benjamin Allen of the other part. Witness that the said Benjamin Allen for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he has unto the said Lois Allen and other consideration give to her the land and cattle, boat and household affairs for her to have and hold or sell the land as she may see proper to do. Witness: Chas.
