Gatlin of Pamlico County, did on the 27 day of March 1911 enter the following described land in #2 Township Pamlico County, said to contain twenty acres: And whereas, copy of said entry have been posted for thirty (30) days at three public places in #2 Township, where the land is situated, and a copy of said entry has been posted at the court house door in Pamlico County, and said entry has also been advertised for thirty days in the Bayboro Sentinel, a newspaper published at Bayboro and no protest against issuing this warrant has been filed with me. Lying on he south side of Bay River and at the head waters of Alligator Creek and beginning at an iron pipe and near two black Gums and one Maple all marked as pointers to the N.E. Corner of James S. Miller Patent and runs with James S. Miller first line as Marked N. 21"42" W 53 Poles to the S.E. Corner of Jack Swindell land and Redding Luptons N.E. Corner thence N. 30"02" E. 10 Poles to the S.W. Corner of the late John H. Nichols land and the Gatlin estate thence with their line S. 76 E. 71 Poles or to the James H Gaskins Patent line thence with said Patent S. 24 1/2 W 466 poles to the North line of the John Harris Patent now T.A. Hadder North line thence with said line N 65 W to the Harris N.W. Corner thence S. 2 W. 2 poles to beginning. Now, therefore, You are required as soon as may be to lay off and survey to the said James L. Gatlin the following piece or parcel of land in #2 Township, Pamlico County, State of North Carolina, viz: Entered on the 27 day of march 1911 being Entry No. 315 page 158, Entry-taker's book of Pamlico County. In making the survey of said lands, you will observe the directions laid down in Section 1716 of the Code and amendments thereto, making two just and fair plots of each survey, with a proper certificate annexed to each, which you are to tansmit with this warrant to the Secretary of Satešs office without delay.
