STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA--Pamlico County, THIS DEED, Made this Twelfth day of December, 1929 by G.W. Hamilton of Pamlico County and State of North Carolina of the first part to J.L. Gatlin of Pamlico County and State of North Carolina of the second part: WITNESSETH, That said G.W. Hamilton, in consideration of Three Thousand Dollars, to him paid by J.L. Gatlin the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged has bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey to said J.L. Gatlin his heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land, in Pamlico County and State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of J.L. Gatlin and others, bounded and described as follows, viz.: In No. 2 Township Pamlico County, and known as a part of the Bradford Gatlin estate. Bounded on all sides sides by the lands of J.L. Gatlin and known as the A.R. Gatlin land. Being fully described in that certain deed dated the 9th day of Sept. 1918 executed by A.R. Gatlin & wife to G.W. Hamilton and duly recorded in Book 72 at pages 11 and 12, which deed is referred to for a description in this deed. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said J.L. Gatlin his heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof forever. And the said GW Hamilton covenants with said J.L. Gatlin his heirs and assigns, that he is seized of said premises in fee, and has right to convey in fee simple; that the same are free and clear from all incumbrances, and that he will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever. Woodard, Clerk of the Superior Court, do hereby certify that GW Hamilton The Grantor his wife, personally appeared before me this day, and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed Deed of Conveyance, and for the purpose herein expressed the said _ being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband touching her voluntary execution of the same doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she doth till voluntarily assent thereto.
