NORTH CAROLINA, Pamlico County. THIS DEED made this 22nd day of February, A.D. 1937 by George Earl Hamilton and wife, Rena V. Hamilton, and Annie E. Hamilton or Annie E. Casey (unmarried) of Pamlico County and State of North Carolina, of the first part to J.L. Gatlin, Sr. and wife, Carrie Gatlin of Pamlico County and State of North Carolina, of the second part: WITNESSETH, That said parties of the first part for and in consideration of Four Hundred Fifty and No/1000000000000000000000000 Dollars, to them paid by said parties of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey to said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land in Pamlico County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of J.P. Woodard G.A. Swindell heirs and others, bounded as follows, viz.: In #2 Township, Pamlico County, North Carolina: BEGINNING in the Northeast corner of a small tract of land of about one and one-fourth acres that Wm. Long sold to W.J. Swan, it being an iron axle on the East side of the Ferebee Road, and in the dividing line between G.W. Hamilton and J.P. Woodard, and runs with said dividing line and a ditch South 68 degrees 70 minutes East 1225 feet to the woods; thence about North 22 degrees 12 minutes East about 2 feet to another ditch; thence with this ditch now divides the woods of the Brabble land from the G.W. Hamilton or Wm. Long land, South 71 degrees 48 minutes East to the Right-of-way of Norfolk Southern Railroad; thence the same course across the Norfolk Southern Right-of-way to the marsh of Alligator Creek; thence the same course continued to J.H. Gaskins or the Cratch and Brickhouse lines in its various courses North 76 degrees West 36 poles and North 23 degrees West until it intersects the line of the land now owned by Geo Swindell; thence with Geo. Swindell line to Ferebee Road; thence with Ferebee Road southwardly to the beginning, containing twenty-five (25) acres, more of less this being part of the land formerly owned by A.W. Best. Likewise being one of the tracts of land conveyed to Annie E. Hamilton by George W. Hamilton in a separation agreement dated October 8th, 1928, recorded in Book 83, Page 345, public records of Pamlico County. Also being he same land conveyed by Annie E. Hamilton or Casey to George Earl Hamilton by deed dated December 24th, 1932, recorded in Book 88, Page 468, public records of Pamlico County. The said Annie E. Hamilton or Casey joins in this deed for the sole purpose of conveying any right title or interest that she may have or may acquire in said land. [Back-sbg] TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof forever. And the said parties of the first part for themselves and their heirs, executors, and administrators, covenants with said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns, that they are seized of said premises in fee, and have right to convey in fee simple; that the same are free and clear from all encumbrances, and that they do hereby forever warrant and will forever defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever.
