Pasquotank County, NC - Nancy & Permelia Relfe - Act to Legitimate

An Act to legitimate and alter the names of Nancy H. Relfe and 
Permelia Relfe, of Pasquotank county

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina,
and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the names
of Nancy H. Relfe and Permelia Relfe shall be, and the same are hereby
altered to that of Nancy H. Jackson and Permelia Jackson, and by said 
names shall be, and are hereby legitimated and entitled to inherit from 
their said father Thomas Jackson by descent and distribution, as 
effectually as if they had been born in wedlock; any thing in any other
law to the contrary notwithstanding.
