The Edenton Gazette January 23, 1830
   SUPREME COURT -- Judge Ruffin qualified and took his seat on the Bench as a 
Judge of this Court, on the 9th inst. 
   The following gentlemen have been admitted to the practice of law in the 
County Courts, viz.: JOHN R. MUSE of Pasquotank, CHARLES SHEPARD of Craven, 
EZEKIAL H. McClure of Buncombe; and THOMAS S. HOSKINS of Edenton.
