Edenton Gazette Dec. 8, 1812 October 8, 1812
                                $20 REWARD
                                DESERTED 
   From the Barracks of Tarboro', in November  last, CHARLES LOWE, born in 
Pasquotank County, aged 26 years, five  feet nine inches high, light 
complextion, blue eyes and light hair. I suppose LOWE in Edgecombe County, as 
he has a wife near PEACOCK'S Bridge.
   Twenty Dollars reward will be given for apprehending the above soldier and 
delivering to some office in the U.S. Service, and all reasonable expenses 
paid. All masters of vessels are forewarned of harboring said deserters.
