Fatal Duel 
We are informed of the melancholy result of a duel fought this morning at
Bladensburg. The principals engaged were Thomas F Jones and Dr Daniel Johnson,
both of Elizabeth city, North Carolina. Dr Johnson fell dead at the first fire,
having been shot through the head! Johnson withheld his fire and dying, asserted
his innocence of the charge upon which he had been challenged. We understand
that the seconds of the parties, one or both, have been arrested.
