That in her death both the church to which she was untiring in her devotion, and the community in which she lived, have lost a true friend. 3. That we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family, and commend them to Him who doeth all things well. 4. That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family and one to the Raleigh Christian Advocate for publication. Mrs. T.W. PACE Mrs. C.P. BARROW Miss IDA SUTTON Death has again invaded our ranks and has taken from us one of our most faithful friends and co-laborer. On Thursday evening, September 27, 1900, after a few days of intense suffering, the angel of death set free the immortal spirit of Mrs. SARAH A. NEWBOLD. Sister NEWBOLD had been a memberof the M.E. Church, South, for about forty years, and in her death the church has lost one of its truest and best members. Her devotion to her church and her God was beautiful. She was ever ready to perform any service that was required of her. Sister NEWBOLD left a husband, two sons and a daughter to mourn her departure, but they sorrow not as those having no hope, for her title to her heavenly mansion was clear. May her loved ones follow in her footsteps as she followed Christ and , finally, may there be a family reunion on that bright celestial shore. T.H.
