Pasquotank County

   Know all men by these Presents that we SOLLY NASH and LEVY BELL are held 
and firmly bound unto our Sovereign Lord the King his Heirs and Successors in 
the full and Just sum of Fifty pounds Proclamation Money for the true payment 
whereof we Jointly & Severally bind ourselves our Heirs Executors & 
Administrators and Each of them firmly by these Presents Sealed with our Seal 
and Dated this Twenty Third Day of Sept. 1774
   The Condition of the above Obligation is such that whereas the above 
Bounden SOLLY NASH hath made Application for a Licence for a Marriage to be 
Celebrated between him and MOURNING COOK of the County aforesaid Spinster 
According to Act of Assembly of this Province Ratified the 4th of April 1741. 
Now if it shall not appear at any time hereafter that there is any Lawfull 
Cause to Obstruct the said Marriage then the above Obligation to be Void 
Otherwise to Remain in full force and Virtue
