North Carolina
Pasquotank County

   Know all men by these present that we JOSEPH REDING AARON LYNN and JOHN 
PALIN are held and firmly bound unto our Sovereign Lord the king his Heirs & 
Successors in the Just and full Sum of Fifty pounds Proclamation Money for the 
True payment whereof we jointly and severally bind ourselves our heirs 
Executors and Administrators and Each of them Firmly by these Presents Sealed 
with our Seal and Dated the Thirtyth day of September 1774
   The Condition of the above Obligation is such that whereas the above 
bounden JOSEPH REDING hath made application for a Licence for a Marriage to be 
Celebrated between him and JEAN NEEDHAM of the County aforesaid Spinster 
According to Act of Assembly of this Province Ratified the 4th of April 1741. 
Now if it shall not appear at anytime hereafter that there if Lawfull Cause to 
Obstruct the said Marriage then this Obligation to be Void Otherwise to Remain 
in full force and Virtue.
