Last Will and Testament
17th Day of February, 1734

In the name of God, Amen, I Edward Wood (Jr.) being of sound and perfect mind 
and memory, thanks be to Almighty God but calling to mind my faith that we are 
always passing and sliding away out of this world I do therefore make and 
ordain this to be my Last Will nad Testament in manner and form following, and 
I do also revoke and disanul all other Wills made by me heretofore, either by 
writing or otherwise.

First, I give and bequeath my poor but precious immortal soul into the hands 
of Almighty God my Creator, hoping for resurrection through ye merits of Jesus 
Christ my Redeemer,  and my body to earth from whence it came, to be buried by 
and at discretion of my Executor,  after named, and as for my personal estate 
which God has been pleased to endow me with, and I do dispose of as follows--

Item--I give and bequeath unto my son Will Wood all and sundry part and parcel 
of my Tract of land which I now live upon with all houses, orchards, and all 
other appurtenances thereto belonging to him my said son William, to his heirs 
forever, only my wife to live upon the Plantation during her widowhood.

Item--I give to my son William Wood, two iron wedges and a carpenter's adz and 
drawing knife and one auger.

Item--I also give to my son William Wood the feather bed and furniture called 
by the name of - "My Bed".

Item- I give and bequeath to my son Mark Wood one feather bed and furniture.

Item-I give and bequeath to my son John Wood five pounds out of sale of my 
movable estate, which I decree my son, William may take into his possession 
for the schooling of my son John.

Item-I give and bequeath to my wife mary Wood one feather bed and furnitureand 
one chest called by ye name of Ye New Chest, and as for all of rest of all of 
my goods and chattels after my just debts are paid. I desire it may be equally 
divided between my wife and my three Sons, Mark, William, and John, and decree 
that my Son William keep my Son John till he comes to age with what part of 
estate I have given to him. And for the managing of this, my Last Will and 
Testament, I do appoint my true and well beloved son William Wood my wholeand 
sole Executor. In witness of all promises, I have hereto set my hand 
andaffixed my seal this 17th day of February, 1734.

At the Court held on 7th of may, 1735, the shown within last Will of Edward 
Wood was presented in Court by William Wood (Jr.), his Executor who made oath 
thereto and being proved by oaths of Ann Nash and Solomon Nash witnesses 
thereto and was admitted to record.
