Shoots Brother-In-Law

D.W. Lockey of Grady Township, Pender County, Under Bond

Burgaw, Oct. 22 - News has reached here of the alleged shooting of J.T. Moore 
by D.W. Lockey in Grady township. According to all available information, 
Moore was under the influence of an intoxicant and was mistreating his wife, 
who is Lockey's sister. It seems that Lockey interfered. Moore became enraged 
and made for Lockey, who fired at Moore three times all shots taking effect.

Moore is being well cared for and physicians think there is little danger of 
serious complications. Lockey has given himself up and is out under bond.
