James, a farmer of Pender County who favors the stock law, was visited a few nights ago by a party of lawless men who destroyed not only a section of his fences, but cut down his crops of corn and peanuts. The Pender Chronicle says the people of the county "are indignant." We should say so. Their indignation would take a practical turn if they would run down and bring these rowdies to the bar of justice. Additional information: The stock law eliminated open grazing and required fencing.
