Seth descendant Henry Morgan who married Susan Haste in Chowan, NC.. Henry's and Susan Haste son Henry Lewis Morgan stayed in Perquimans, lived and died and is buried on Rockyhoch Creek 7 miles North of .Edenton East of the Chowan River. Also Gabriel Colsan was a wit: to a Deed made out to William Morgan from John Stone on Rockyhock. So we can see some of our family moved from Perquimans River on to Chowan River. and later on to Nash.. James Morgan of Nash Will shows his land next to Bog on Deep Bottom in Perquimen Patent Book one, Page 6 page 17 William Bogue1 May 1694 200 A on the Perquimens River Joining pocoson of the said River. Add Map of Perquimans River John Taylor received a land grant 1688 on Little Creek below Suttons CK and the land of Ralph Flecher, East of the Perquimens River. James Morgan Will 19 In the Name of God, Amen this 27 day of November 1774, I James Morgan, of Edgcomb County and Elisabeth Parish being sick and weak of Body but of Sound and perfect Sense and memory and Calling to mind the Mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, and as for what it hath pleased God to Bless me with I Give and dispose in Manner following. Imprimus, first of all my Lawful debts and funeral Charges to be paid. Item. I Give and bequeath to my Loving Son John Morgan, all that part of land begining at the Mouth of Norflits branch thence to out to the back line line and up to Benjn. I give and bequeat to my loving son Hardy Morgan the reminder of my land with the plantation I now live on after His Mothers death to Him his heirs and assigned forever. Item. Additional Comments: My cousin James Douglas Morgan DNA was a perfect DNA match with Seth Morgan who's father was James Morgan who died 1774 in Edgecombe/Nash NC. This James was left land in Perquiman River on Vosses Creek next to William Bogue and James Taylor grant 1693. James Morgan of 1774 land was the grandson of of James Morgan who received a grant in 1694 on Vosses Creek. See my posting for James will of 1774. Seth Morgan born 1801 in Birtie, but as you can see several in his family move to Haywood Tn and on to White co Ark. Henry Morgan who married Susan Haste some Thomas stayed on in Rockyhock, and is buried there 100 years later on land that was given to William Stone Morgan by John Stone and Wit by Gab Colsan.
