This copy contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives. The Onley-Hollowell Cemetery is on the right off Craney Island Road (#1212) about one mile from Turnpike Road (#1001). It is up a lane beside the farm of Asa Stallings and about a mile and a half past the Wilkins Cemetery. It is in the woods but the path back to it is passable by tractor. Asa Stallings says the cemetery is on a ridge known as "Head of the Field" and the surrounding area was once in cultivation. The Joel Onley house used to stand nearby. Data collected by Janie Hill, September, 1996. Richmond M. Onley Co. B 3BN N. C. Lt. Army C. S. A. (Richmond served in the Civil War and this stone was put there by the U. S. Government.)
