Know ye that I Thomas Blitchenden of Perquiman Precinct in North Carolina for & in consideration of the sum of Ten pounds to me in hand paid by Moses Rountree of Chowan Precinct the receipt of which I do hereby Acknowledge & myself to be therewith fully satisfied contented & paid, Have Given Granted Aliened Sold conveyed & confirmed And by these Presents do freely clearly & Absolutely Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Convey & Confirm to him the Said Moses Rountree A Certain Messuage or part of A Tract of land lying on the No. Wt. Side of Perquimans River it being the remaining part of a tract of land of which I sold Thomas Hobbs fifty Acres more or less An is in Contents Sixty acres of land with all & Singular the Appurtenances to him the said Moses Rountree to him his Heirs or Assigns forever In as full & ample manner to all Intents & purposes as the Same to me is Granted or Intended in & by a Pattent from the true & Absolute Lords Proprietors of Carolina Bearing Date the 6th of December 1728. And I the Said Thomas Blitchenden do further Covenant & bind myself my heirs Executors Admrs. ____ of whom firmly by these Presents to Warrant & ___ Defend the Said Moses Rountree him his heirs & Assigns in quiet & Peacable Possession of the above Bargained Premises against the claim of any Person or Persons Whatsoever – In Testimony of Which I have to these Presents Set my hand & Seal this 20th of Jany Ano.
