Perquimans County, NC - Thomas Gray to John Lacky, 1727 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Perquimans County Deed Book B, #259 To all to Whom these Presents shall Come, Know ye that I Thomas Gray of Perqs Precinct in the Province of N. Carolina for & in consideration of four Pounds to me in hand before the ensealing hereof well & truly paid by John Lacky of the Place aforesaid the Receipt Whereof I do hereby Acknowledge and myself to be herewith fully Satisfied & contented Have given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Conveyed & Confirmed unto him the said John Lacky his Heirs & Assigns forever One Messuage or part of A Tract of Land Lying in Perquimans Precinct on the So. West side of River Beginning at A pine Stump Thomas Bagby Corner thence along his line to A pine newly marked for A corner Tree thence A Northerly Course by A line of Marked Trees to a Pine the other Corner Tree thence Easterly by A line of Marked Trees to Ann Pettiver her line thence along her line to the first Station, Containing by Estimation one hundred Acres be the same more or less which land is part of 528 Acres Granted by patent to Thomas Blitchenden Bearing Date the 14th Day of July 1725. – To Have and to Hold the Said one hundred Acres of land with all & Singular the Appurtenances to the Same Belonging on any ways Appertaining to him the Said John Lacky his Heirs and Assigns forever in as full and ample Manner as was Intended by the Patent to all Intents & Purposes And I the Said Thomas Gray further Covenant & Bind myself my Heirs executors Admrs & every of them firmly by these Presents to Warrant & forever Defend the Said John Lacky his Heirs or assigns in quiet & Peacable Possession of all & Singular the said Granted & Bargained Premises Against the lawfull Claim of any Person or Persons Whatsoever. And from all forever gifts Grants Sales or incumbrances Whatsoever In Witness Whereof I have hereunto Set my hand this 9th Day of July 1727 Signed Sealed & Delivered his in presence of Thos x Gray R.
