                              $20 REWARD
                                DESERTED 
   From the Barracks of Tarboro', on furlough, BENJAMIN MODLIN, born in 
Perquimans  County, aged 26 years, five feet and four and 1/2 inches high, 
light complextion, light hair and blue eyes, and by profession, a farmer.
   Twenty Dollars reward will be given for apprehending the above soldier and 
delivering to some office in the U.S. serive, and all resonable expenses paid. 
All masters of vessels are forewarned of harboring said deserters.
