Tuesday,March 28, 1820, Edenton Gazette March 28, 1820
   -- TAKEN up and committed to the jail of Perquimans County, on the 8th 
inst., a Negro girl who calls herself SOPHIA and says she belongs to MR. JAMES 
KNIGHT of Nansemond County, Va. The owner is requested to come forward, prove 
property, pay charges and take her away, or she will be dealt with as the law 
directs.
