Miss Delia Brinkley Dies Near Cypress

Miss Delia Brinkley, a prominent resident of Nansemond County died at the home 
of her brother, Elmer Brinkley, near Cypress Chapel, Sunday night at 10:50 
o’clock. She had been ill only a short time.

Miss Brinkley is survived by her mother. Mrs. Annie F. Brinkley, of Nansemond 
County; one sister, Mrs. Z. A Harris of Hertford, N. C.; one brother, Elmer 
Brinkley, of Cypress Chapel; one half-brother, Richard E. Brinkley, of Hampton.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at Eureka 
Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. B. A. Mitchell. Interment will be made in the 
church cemetery.
