Elizabeth City, Oct. 14 - Rev. E.F. Saywer has returned from Perquimans 
County, where he conducted the funeral of Thomas Morgan of that county. The 
services were held at 11 o'clock in the morning at Mount Sinai Baptist Church 
near Winfall, and interment followed in the old Speight burying ground not far 
from the church. Mr. Morgan was 68 years old and had been in failing health 
for some time, and death came on Monday night. He was a native of Pasquotank 
County, but went to Prequimans in early manhood, where he married and became 
one of the best known citizens of the county.
